ALS is one of the leading umpire laboratories in the world - providing both inspection and assaying services on metals and minerals around the world. In this role, I work closely with the world's top mining, trading, smelting and warehousing companies. My main tasks and responsibilities include:• Implementing business development strategies in accordance with ALS global strategy. Delivering group commercial business targets. Contributing to quarterly and yearly group sales budgets and sales forecasts.• Developing business opportunities globally with the main responsibilities being in the Asia Pacific region.• Leading complex projects involving internal teams across continents - Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. Often working closely with internal stakeholders across various functions including operations, technical, finance and marketing.• Supporting clients globally through consultative sales strategies. Nurturing existing business relationships through key account management and CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).• In addition to key account management, I am also dedicated to new business development. This includes expanding into new geographic locations, acquiring new clients, developing new service offerings, and generating new revenue streams. • Negotiating and securing multi-million pounds international contracts.• Provide training to junior Business Development Managers and Commercial Assistants. Recruiting junior BDMs and Commercial Assistants. • Producing monthly management reports to reflect business development performance and drive the strategic business vision.
