Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Geospatial Science Center of Excellence at South Dakota State University.Mainly studying how to monitoring global wild fires emissions in near real time.I received my B.S. degree from Central South University(Changsha, China) in 2007, majoring in Surveying and Mapping(Geomatic), and obtained my M.S. degree in Geographic Infomation Science in Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CEODE)(Beijing, China). The topic of my Master thesis is Remote Sensing Imageries Fusion, mainly focusing on Pan-sharpening algorithms for optical panchromatic imagery and multispectral imagery pairs with large spatial resolution difference(e.g. 1:8 of THEOS, 1:7.5 of CBERS-2 ). Two algorithms were developed to enhance spatial resolution of multispectral bands of HR or VHR. The work has been published in one of SPIE conferences.I have a wide range of research interests from Multi-Sensor/Source Fusion, Remote sensing imagery enhancement, Mapping, regional climate change to natural hazards(landslides, flooding, droughts) monitoring and assessement using Remote Sensing and GIS techniques to wild fires monitoring.Lanuage: Chinese and English

  1. Processing remote sensing imagery, like multi-resolution and multi-temporal data fusion. (a) Pansharpening Multispectral Imagery with high-spatial resolution Pancromatic Imagery,especially when spatial resolutions of MS & PAN are very large(eg. THEOS1, MODIS-TM). (b) Enhancing Imagery adaptively(both locally and globally) for maping and display and visual interpretation(Contrast enhancement, green enhancement(vibrant)).(c) Detecting clouds using multi-date imagery (e.g. TM/ETM+ imagery) and blending together to produce unclouded imagery. 2. Multisouce meta-data of different satellites standardization using XML technology.3. Message communication using IBM Websphere MQ serials and ORACLE ODP.NET.
