At Metro Health I gained valuable knowledge in therapy services provided for a variety of inpatient diagnosis, including elective surgeries for hips, knees, and spines, TBI's, strokes, traumatic injuries and much more. I provided occupational therapy services full time to patients and used my therapeutic use of self to motivate all of my patients during their hospital stay. I have acquired a firm understanding of EPIC, the charting system, as I documented all of my patients progress. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with other health care professionals to provide the best quality care and plan for discharge.

I have had the opportunity to plan and implement therapeutic interventions for a full caseload of patients and document them daily. This internship have given me experience working with the geriatric population with a variety of conditions and diagnosis.
