Responsibilities: • Preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, for the children based on a 4 week rotating menu. • Ensuring that the meals prepared meet the special dietary needs of the children with allergies & cultural preferences. • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks. • Ensure all the allergies and dietary/cultural requirements are catered for. • Order food supplies in line with menus and within the Centre budget and check of food deliveries made to the Center.

Working as a assistant cook with task such as: ● Preparing, cook and serving of food and drinks to children attending the centre in line with centre menu/program (Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) ● Ensure all allergies and cultural requirements are catered for ● Ensure all daily cleaning and maintain of all kitchen premises, equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and appliances. ● Order stock in consultation with centre director ● Unpack all food orders and reconcile against invoice ● Storing different produce in the proper places and temperatures following and stock rotation procedure (FIFO) ● Conduct regular inventories of pantry supplies ● Following health, safety, and security procedures.● Following childcare centre hygiene procedures.
