I am always debating with my inner self as to how I should introduce myself - by my supposed-to-be profession of Software Engineer, or as a Teacher, which I feel is my calling. I can also call myself a proud and, well, to be honest, a tired mom of a foursome team who keep me on my toes, but are also a source of much delight and pride to me. I am a Pakistani national, currently residing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I have a 4 year Bachelor degree in software engineering under the belt, acquired from FAST National University of Emerging Sciences. I have been teaching the subject of Information Technology and Computer Science at different levels. Some of my pursuits that give a brief insight into my teaching experience are:- Teaching programming language Java and .NET to post graduate students as an IT Trainer at Mahara Program (Joint Venture of Aramco and Wipro) in Dammam Saudi Arabia.- Teaching Computer Science and ICT to IGCSE and A Level Students in school and as a private tutor.- Teaching Graphic Designing, Video Editing, Web Designing and Digital Marketing to students of all ages as a trainer under a self-created banner, Affreej LLC.I have been an ardent supporter of developing IT skills in our youth and have always strived to make it possible by spreading the knowledge and computer skills. I believe that learning never stops. You learn as you teach. My love of teaching prompted me to start a business called Affreej Elearning LLC which I established as an online business in Delaware, USA, in the year 2021. The platform specializes in providing Computer, STEM and English courses, with an aim to provide a platform for K-12 students, to help them to hone their talents and introduce them to twenty-first century skills, thereby helping them to refine their personalities. I strongly believe in women empowerment too. It is imperative, I believe, for the women in any society to showcase and polish their talents and capabilities. This is the reason that I humbly try my best to generalize the notion of women empowerment in my community as well. To that end, and prior to the establishment of Affreej - before Covid19, to be exact - I had established an informal club under the banner, Elite Club Jeddah. I ran this for four years, as a social platform for ladies and kids, with a focus on arranging educational and creative events, often pairing these with entertainment. The efforts were very well-received by the community, and even today, the Elite Club continues to thrive alongside Affreej.
