Farah Ali is Vice President, Technology Growth Strategy at Electronic Arts. Technology in gaming evolves at light speed and EA needs to be on top of technology trends. In this EA wide role Farah drives the technical strategy to leverage emerging gaming technology and plot a company-wide path to execute. Working closely with thought leaders throughout the company and in the industry she will leverage opportunities for technology partnerships, investments, and acquisitions.With years of experience leading cross-functional teams, Farah builds great engineering teams from the ground up while providing hands-on leadership and strategic vision. She’s worked at every level of a business, from applications, online services, and large scale distributed systems to mining very large data sets to gather insights for targeting new business opportunities and a variety of machine learning problems.Prior to EA Farah was CTO & Co-Founder at FreightWeb, an innovative VC backed logistics tech startup focused on building the best partial shipping hardware and software solution there is. A seasoned technology leader who is passionate about making an impact by building innovative products to solve compelling problems, Farah is fulfilled by working with and learning from intelligent, innovative minds who deliver thought-leading products, ideas, and energy. Farah held a VP of Engineering role at Electronic Arts reporting to the CTO where she got to work on innovative solutions to power the player network for EA games. Farah also worked as a Director of Engineering at eBay where she worked on core Shipping & Logistics, Shipping Science and Infrastructure teams that generated massive amounts of user data to improve the shipping experience for buyers and sellers.
