Exceptional Education Case Manager
CurrentDedicated professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating the individualized support and services for students with exceptional needs. This role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the provision of personalized education plans and a conducive learning environment for students with diverse learning requirements.Responsibilities:1. Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development:Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and parents to develop, review, and revise Individualized Education Programs for students with special needs.Ensure that IEPs align with the unique learning goals, abilities, and challenges of each student. 2. Coordination and Collaboration:Act as a liaison between general education teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to facilitate a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.3. Assessment and Evaluation:Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and learning styles.Use assessment data to inform the development of appropriate strategies and interventions for academic, social, and behavioral growth.4. Advocacy:Advocate for the rights and needs of students with exceptionalities, ensuring that they receive appropriate accommodations and services.5. Progress Monitoring:Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress toward IEP goals, making adjustments as needed. Communicate progress updates to parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.6. Professional Development:Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and legal requirements in the eld of special education. Provide training and support to general education teachers on effective strategies for inclusive classrooms.7. Crisis Intervention:Develop crisis intervention plans for students with unique emotional or behavioral needs.Work with school staff to implement strategies that create a safe and supportive environment for all students.
