I am a very passionate IB educator for the past 17 years, worked at one of the first IB school's in Jordan and in the region, the Amman baccalaureate School. I am inspired by the IB philosophy and it shaped who I am as an educator.I currently work in UAE at Abu Dhabi Department for Education and Knowledge (ADEK) as an Intervention Programs Senior Specialist’s n the Education Improvement Division. I am also currently serving the IB as a certified workshop leader, a role that I enjoy a lot as it’s a chance to learn and keep updated in the practices and yet sharing knowledge and expertise with others throughout delivering workshops around the world, United Kingdom, Jordan, Saudi Arabia , Qatar and Dubai. I was also a key contributor in getting our school ready for its evaluation for the past decade or so, as a teacher and as a leader.I also worked as a Grade level Leader as well as an MYS Individuals and Societies teacher teaching History and Geography to MYS students from grade 8-10 and I was responsible for developing Curricula. I was also part of the Middle Year Program Team, taking charge of Service as Action, a core element in the IB program, responsible for providing opportunities for students to participate in service learning, where they build authentic connections between what they learn in the classroom and what they encounter in the community through Action and Service Activities and also ensuring that the implementation is within the MYP curricula of different subjects.
