-Deploying, provisioning, and managing IoT gateways for large scale data collection and analytics for diesel engine R&D studies.-Design and develop tools/scripts for analysis and automated reporting of real-time sensor and telemetry data across large fleets oflocomotives, boats/ships, etc. (Tools: Anaconda Python, JupyterLab Notebook, Visual Studio Code, HDF5, Batch, Windows Task Scheduler)-Perform studies to enhance diesel engine performance and reliability via early detection of engine controls software andelectrical/electronic hardware defects, root cause identification, and resolution. Research predictive failure/preventivemaintenance through past data.-Data mining, structuring data, pre-processing, exploratory analysis, data visualization, effectively interpreting andcommunicating insights to cross-functional teams and key business stakeholders.(Libraries: pandas, numpy, scikit learn, plotly, matplotlib, Dash, PyQt)-Support software engine controls development and electrical/electronic hardware architecture of diesel engine systems(CANape, Matlab, C/C++).

-Lead enterprise with research and implementation of AUTOSAR ECU software framework and Vector Tool Chain.-Work with development teams to integrate application software with AUTOSAR OS (BSW) and Middleware (RTE). Develop, configure, and ensure controller hardware peripherals (I/O, CAN/LIN network, SPI, I2C) functioned properly with application software and other nodes on bus. -Facilitate meetings with management and engineers to mitigate software/hardware defects via requirement updates, architecture changes, and software fixes; at the same time hack up unofficial software fixes within delivery team to have functional software ready for each potentially shippable increment and readiness for prototype vehicle builds.-Tools: PreeVision, DaVinci Developer, DaVinci Configurator, CANalyzer/CANape, CANcase, Visual Studio, Tasking Compiler. JTAG debugger, oscilloscope, multi-meter, and memory analyzer for software/hardware debugging.

-Responsibilities: Scrum Master -Worked with subsystem engineers and developers to design software architecture for hydrostatic transmission.-Developed software controls for various drivetrain systems (power take off, mechanical four wheel drive, differential lock, and hydrostatic transmission). -Analyzed system dynamics, calibrated ECU parameters, executed test driven development in Model-in-Loop/Software-in-Loop/Hardware-in-Loop environments.-Utilized MCDC test coverage to ensure all corner conditions were tested for.-Tools: PreeVision, DaVinci Developer, CANape/CANalyzer, CANCase, Embedded C, and Matlab (Simulink/Stateflow).

-Reduced testing time by developing automated system testing framework for an ECU to simulate CAN messaging, GPS coordinates, phidget board to simulate input signals, VNC to simulate button presses on display.-Executed electromagnetic compatibility test to analyze electromagnetic waves emitted by vehicle when running and injected electromagnetic waves in order to see if vehicle electronics cause unexpected behavior. -Tested alternators from various suppliers to ensure enough power is generated for electrical/electronic accessories and provides enough voltage to charge battery. Reported issues such as excessive current draw by accessories/inadequate power generation. -Tools: Visual Studio, C#, Phidget Board.

-Developed steering directional control valve drivers. -Upgraded John Deere’s proprietary ECU operating system. Resulted in support for 32 bit controllers and ability to virtualize ECU in Win32 environment for software-in-loop testing with application. -Mined data for time spent troubleshooting issues in different support teams. Applied pareto analysis analysis to analyze areas where support should be reduced and support spending/time should be increased. Results aided in reallocation of spending.-Utilized MS Access, VBA, and SQL to design a database that captures software defects for various tractor models. Provides tracability between different tractors, associated configurations, features, functions, and test cases that should be performed on these vehicles.
