About Faranak Beigmohammadi, Ph.D.

As a food packaging scientist, I specialize in providing comprehensive analytical methods for identifying and quantifying chemicals of concern in virgin and recycled polymers in food packaging materials. My expertise lies in developing analytical methods for measuring per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in paper and plastic-based packaging materials, with the aim of contributing to sustainable food packaging. Recently, I have been focusing on studying microplastic residue from food packaging in the context of sustainability. Additionally, I have passion to do research and development for sustainable food packaging and any analysis on food packaging.(Packaging Technologies, Packaging Analytical methods, Packaging Regulations, Packaging Research and development, PFAS, Microplastics, Chemical of concerns in food packaging)
