• Works actively to promote and meet customer service expectations established within the company system • Plans, implements, evaluates and monitors services and daily operations at the assigned branches and takes necessary action for improvement • Oversees customer service functions at the assigned branches including staff scheduling, shelving, stack maintenance, circulation, • Selects, evaluates, trains, and supervises reporting staff following established guidelines. Ensures teamwork and commitment to excellence in providing consistent and high quality services and compliance with standards, practices, and policies• Select, train, schedule and supervise the work of company staff and substitutes.• Assure compliance with the company policy and procedure.• Interpret company policies and procedures to the staff and public; resolve patron, circulation and human resource problems.• Conduct performance evaluations of company staff; write formal evaluations, review with staff, clarify performance expectations, and initiate appropriate corrective action as required, including coaching and development.• Select company materials for purchase from system developed lists based on knowledge of community interests. Evaluate and maintain the collection.• Assist in the use of branch facilities and provide basic reference service.• Perform administrative record keeping and reporting, including financial and activity reports, and timesheets. Submit budget request on an annual basis.• Assure that the branch facility and equipment are in good working order. • Report maintenance problems, perform opening and closing duties.
