Www.nexusstructure.comThe public demand for sustainable use of resources has led to a new design criteria for industrial products. There is an increasing need to design lightweight structures; lightweight sheet material and sustainable joining methods are the integral part of lightweight structure manufacturing. Various processes for joining sheet material including operations of applying adhesives, welding processes, and clinching are currently used in the automobile and infrastructure industries to support high tensile or compressive load, and resist plastic deformation. However, the current methods of combining sheet material have many limitations; welding causes embrittling of metal, adhesives are expensive and may deteriorate when subjected to cyclic environmental conditions, and clinching does not meet the strength and sustainability criteria of most industries. For the past 3 years, our company has done a full evaluation of sustainable joining techniques and their relative merits. Most notably, we have come up with a brand new, economically sound method to overcome each limitation. Our patented system produces a unique and powerful joining method, without the usage of any adhesives or welding processes. Our method is a completely mechanical process, which leads to substantially cheaper production method for producing a permanent linkage between any type of metals.Furthermore, our product can be produced by a novel roll forming machinery, and specific presses. Currently, we are conducting research and testing on our product at Mohawk Collages research facilities. We have received excellent feedback with our testings on peel and pull tests of the metal, and we are continuously working on testing different parameters such as buckling, vibration and tensile tests.

Studied incidences of intracranial hemorrhages in patients who are on blood thinners and presenting with headaches or major head trauma in the emergency department of Sunnybrook Hospital. In this role, I examine patients’ medical history, medication allergies, physical conditions, and test results to verify necessity of procedures and treatments. Having studied over 5,000 patients CT scans, this was my first direct exposure to how technology can enhance our understanding of medical issues and also expedite the way that doctors can find workable solutions. I have had the privilege of working closely with our team’s lead physician and other researchers, and have participated in discussions around the different variables and intangibles that inform patient care. This experience has further built my excitement in exploring how technology can enable excellence in clinical care and case management.

The augmented reality basketball game is suitable for Android and Apple phones and has over 20,000 downloads worldwide. I enjoyed the challenge of analyzing what type of app a user might enjoy and applying my technical skills to create a product to fit that demand.
