Fabian “FARBEON” Saucedo is a Brooklyn-based emcee, vocalist, DJ and photographer who has graced stages, panels and classrooms throughout the United States and abroad. Farbeon uses his unique brand of edu-tainment to build transformative community-driven Hip Hop workshops, events and performances. This modern-day Griot is ultimately dedicated to maintaining and supporting the development of genuine hip-hop culture and community to bring about dialogue, understanding and to pave the way for the next generation of young Hip Hop ARTivists.With his use of vocal loop stations and live sample triggering, Farbeon’s solo performance style embodies the free-flowing energy of a multi-piece ensemble. He has graced numerous stages world-wide, including the iconic Blue Note in NYC, the @America Cultural Center in Jakarta, IND and he has performed twice at Hip Hop Kemp in the Czech Republic, the largest live-music Hip Hop festival in Central and Eastern Europe. Farbeon has shared stages with some of global Hip Hop’s most-renowned acts, including The Roots, Method Man, Rob Swift, Planet Asia, Camp-Lo, Black Noise (South Africa), Vox Sambou (Haiti/Canada) and Jaro Cossiga (Czech Republic). And he has also co-taught master-classes with Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch and Sadat X.As a DJ, Farbeon is known for open-format stylings that mix Hip Hop, classic-Soul, Funk, Rock, Pop and House music. His ability to read crowds, coupled with his impeccable song selection have been moving audiences to dance since he first started as a college radio DJ in 1998. He currently hosts, DJs and produces a weekly radio show called “The Feel Good Happy Hour” on Bondifre Radio.FARBEON is at the forefront of the Hip Hop/arts-education movement, teaching poetry/spoken word, music-production, song-writing, photography, podcasting, filmmaking and Hip Hop history and culture in both school and non-school settings. He is the founding director of the Hip Hop Re:Education Project, a NYC-based creative youth development organization that engages communities in the artistic processes of Hip Hop culture, inspiring them to transform their world. He currently teaches Hip Hop Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Finally, Farbeon has overseen both virtual and real-world cultural exchanges between young Hip Hoppers in the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Indonesia, Iraq, Eritrea, South Africa and Bolivia.
