LA GALIGOLa Galigo is recognised as one of the best liveaboards operating in Raja Ampat and Komodo, Indonesia, which holds the record for the highest Marine Biodiversity on the planet, and is home to ‘The Coral Triangle’. The concept of La Galigo was conceived in the early 2000s when two avid divers, Tom Simpson and Nicholas Barr, developed a keen interest to explore Indonesia's pristine reef ecosystems.Responsibilities: Multi-faceted role directly responsible for the overall operation - 14 guests, 16 crew members on a traditional two-mast style ‘phinisi’ sailboat. The vessel continuously runs 6 to 12-day dive cruises throughout Raja Ampat and Komodo all year round. The Cruise Director leads the guest's overall experience, maintaining and raising organizational standards by executing duties including (but not limited to) guest relations, trip scheduling, supervision of crew, daily reporting, social media content creation, onboard sales, financial accounting and reporting, troubleshooting and logistics.Achievements: In addition to fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of the Cruise Director, I am especially proud of my achievements in refining and updating many standard operating procedures, enhancing guests’ social experience and making major contributions to the organization’s social media platforms. Through my consistent, long term sustained effort, I have helped generate stellar reviews, further establishing and strengthening our company’s vision by increasing the number of enthusiastically-satisfied clients.

Responsibilities:As the cruise director onboard the vessels La Unua and Ikan Terbang, my duties included itinerary scheduling, in-water dive leading, guest liaison, in and above-water recreational activity coordination, crew supervision, guest entertainment and engagement, as well as bartending. Achievements: As the first Cruise Director of Kamma Sail, a new sailing and adventure company which was started during the COVID-19 pandemic, I am especially proud of my contributions and achievements in crafting and implementing a significant portion of the organization’s standard operating procedures, from the ‘ground up’. Kamma Sail provided a multitude of worthwhile opportunities for my personal and professional development as a Cruise Director.

Responsibilities:As a dive instructor working at Legend Diving Lembongan, my roles and responsibilities included scuba instruction, dive leading, delivering exceptional customer service to guests, underwater photography, as well as handling the center’s emphasis on safety management and environmental conservation. Legend Diving emphasizes team collaboration, and I was expected to collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of dive center activities, including equipment maintenance and customer relations.

Responsibilities:As the cruise director onboard Ratu Laut and Ratu Pelangi, my duties included trip scheduling, in-water dive leading, guest relations, activity coordination, crew supervision, guest entertainment and engagement, as well as co-ordinating environmental education programmes. Achievements: With Mikumba Diving, I am especially proud of my achievements in planning and leading Banda Sea expeditions. My experience with the organization also provided opportunities for crisis management in the event of emergencies or unexpected situations, and overall provided numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth as a Cruise Director.

Based on Blue Marlin’s newest dive operation on Gili Air, I worked as part of a pioneering team of expatriate and local staff in order to provide a safe, enjoyable experience overall for the guests.My roles and responsibilities included scuba instruction, dive leading, delivering oustanding customer service to guests, underwater photography, as well as handling the center’s emphasis on safety management. I collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of dive center activities, including equipment maintenance and customer relations, guest-relations duties during non-diving hours, general support with customer service and care, as well as training and skills upgrading of local staff members.

Primarily based on Jaya, Wicked Diving's signature phinisi liveaboard, I worked closely with a team of expatriate and local staff to provide a safe, enjoyable experience overall for the guests. I was based in remote locations in Indonesia. My duties included: - Managing safety aspects of guests' dive experience- Overseeing and maintaining stock/quality of safety and communications equipment- Teaching recreational scuba diving courses of various levels- Leading certified divers on an underwater tour of dive sites- Leading guests on land excursions- Guest-relations duties during non-diving hours- Contributing to community engagement and education programs- General support with customer service and care

I successfully completed my PADI Divemaster and PADI IDC and IE at Oceans 5.Responsibilities:I assisted senior instructors in PADI courses in preparation for PADI IDC and IE. Upon completion, I was assigned the responsibility to teach PADI courses and guide certified divers.

As a self-employed professional photographer, I performed all business tasks including online marketing, handling communications with clients, executing photography shoots, invoicing as well as the delivery of final products.I developed excellent customer relations, sales, networking, organizational and accounting skills while grooming myself into a very independent, disciplined and organized professional who was able to work with a large variety of people, from clients based overseas, to individuals in government organizations, as well as independent business owners.

My primary role was that of Digital Imaging Specialist, during which I upgraded my proficiency with various technological tools; hardware and software. Here I primarily learnt, from a behind-the-scenes perspective, the running of a successful business. I also gained more experience in interpersonal and organizational skills.
