Out of over 1,000 submissions from UK residents aged 18 to 80, I was selected as one of ten finalists for the Big Education Challenge, a programme aimed at supporting social entrepreneurs passionate about improving education. As a finalist, my goal is to develop and advance my social enterprise, Potential, through the resources and mentorship provided by the programme, while also competing for a share of the £100,000 prize pot. Over the course of seven months, I will leverage up to £10,000 in grant funding, alongside expert guidance, to enhance the impact and reach of Potential. This will involve refining our strategy, expanding outreach efforts, and implementing practical changes based on feedback. By November, I aim to position Potential as a leading social enterprise in education improvement and secure a portion of the £100,000 prize, which will enable us to further scale our efforts and drive meaningful change in the education sector.

In July 2024, I was promoted to Youth Advisor/Consultant at Contact, a prominent theatre and arts venue in Manchester. My new role involved visiting different branches of the agency's programmes to provide guidance and support for initiatives involving young people. I regularly travelled to various programme locations, offering insights and consulting on project planning to ensure that young people's perspectives were integrated into each initiative. This approach helped enhance the effectiveness of programmes across different branches, leading to more engaging and impactful experiences for participants.

My role was to lead the hiring process for project facilitators and assistants. I conducted interviews, evaluated candidates, and made the final hiring decisions. My task was to ensure that customers received top-quality components to maintain their vehicles' performance and reliability while providing exceptional service. I took action by implementing a customer-centric approach, ensuring prompt deliveries, maintaining a comprehensive inventory of genuine BMW parts, and offering competitive pricing to meet customer needs effectively. As a result, we consistently achieved high customer satisfaction and built a reputation for reliability and excellence in the Greater Manchester area.

I worked as a creative producer for Far East Consortium (FEC), a leading international developer known for high-quality residential and mixed-use developments across Europe and the UK. My primary responsibility was to help FEC achieve its social impact KPIs while working on various projects, including the Collyhurst regeneration initiative. I focused on the Collyhurst regeneration project, where we built 274 new homes. I collaborated with stakeholders, design teams, and local communities to ensure that the project met both housing needs and social impact objectives. Through my efforts, we successfully fostered community engagement, ensuring that the development not only addressed housing needs but also strengthened social connections and encouraged active participation among residents.

I was involved in a bespoke mentorship programme aimed at helping young people involved in or at risk of crime by fostering their entrepreneurial skills to start businesses.Our goal was to provide support and resources to these young individuals, working in four high schools and pupil referral units, and to develop an accredited educational pathway.We successfully implemented a Level 1 AQA-accredited course and are currently delivering the next stage of our Level 2 programme. We have also established our own office and have been recognised with two national awards for our impact, receiving 18 months worth of funding.Our long-term vision is to develop a Level 7 university-equivalent programme, providing ongoing support and opportunities for young people to thrive outside of crime.

I took part in the Solve for Tomorrow competition, a tech-for-good initiative for young people aged 16-25 in the UK and Ireland, aimed at empowering diverse youth to tackle real-world challenges.My objective was to develop a tech-for-good idea that could positively impact society.I utilised the program's resources, collaborated with peers, and sought feedback from industry experts to refine my concept.This experience enhanced my technical skills and understanding of social issues, allowing me to contribute to a meaningful project while fostering a sense of community among young innovators.

After a competitive process, was selected as one of eleven young change makers to take part on the Virgin Money Foundation & Northern Soul partnership Programme. The six month programme offers up to £15,000 grant funding, mentoring and leadership development to Northerners aged 18 to 26 who are passionate about changing society for the better. During this fellowship, I will be developing Potential, my grassroots social enterprise, utilising the the experience, guidance and support on offer.
