College is a weird time for anyone. You're one day in high school, living with your parents, and the next, you're in a different city, living alone, trying to take care of yourself and be an outstanding student. Now, you might still live at home, but for me, that was not the case. Choosing CIS Tech was a decision that took me a long time to make, and part of that is because of my uncertainty with what I wanted. In the end, I chose this for the same reason anyone chooses their dream career; it challenged me and made me want to improve myself, just like when I first started living alone as a freshman at UT Dallas. This self-improvement has only served me well, accumulating lots of important skills, like SQL, Tableau, and many coding languages. I enjoy coding and looking at data, and hope it lands me an internship in my field.
