Leading Telenor Pakistan Network Transformation & Modernization initiatives. Responsible for E2E Network Planning and Optimization. Leading a talented team of Planning professionals who have helped in Planning & deploying country first commercial Mobile Core Virtualized platform, 100G Transport network and LTE RAN network while maintaining high focus on customer experience and enhanced efficiency via lean infrastructure design.

Developing Long term Technology Strategy to support Telenor Pakistan's business strategic ambitions and also devising performance frame work for existing and upcoming technologies. Lead a team of technology experts and architects to deliver 5 years blueprint of technology road-map.

In this role I was responsible for E2E Core (CS & PS) and Transmission (Access & Core) Network Planning.

Responsibilities:• Operations & Maintenance of Access Network comprising of around 8000 sites including Transmission network.• Overall OPEX planning and controls to achieve business objectives in a highly low margin market• Vendor management in outsourced environment to ensure delivery as per SLAs • Customer experience improvement through improved network availability and quality • Contract re-negotiations to achieve OPEX advantage while maintaining the service delivery by focusing on synergies • Technology Lead in cost benchmarking exercise of ATK-GCB.Achievements:• Achieved best ever network KPIs since the network launch time• Managed Services vendor transition to achieve OPEX savings in line with business strategy and then improving network KPIs to enhance customer experience • Reduction of around 50% in energy OPEX through effective controls and realization of energy savings initiatives.• Successful implementation of cluster base operating model to have surgical approach towards problem resolution which helped in improving customer satisfaction.• Telenor Pakistan stands on top among all group BU in ATK-GCB 2013

Responsibilities:• Providing clear visibility of the Network Performance indicators to the management covering Access,Core/VAS & Transport domain. • Ensuring timely and accurate report generation of network KPIs for all the internal customers of Technology division• Facilitate in the process of KPI target setting for different departments within technology division and ensure that network KPIs are above the target values by coordinating with the relevant stake holders in case of deviation.• Giving impact assessment report to management for extended network outages or degradations.Achievements:• Transform the network performance team from functional to service model.• Shifting from Nodal KPIs to service KQIs in order to have a better E2E visibility.• Alarm generation and notification for network KPI degradations. • Web base performance portal for functional and Technology division management.

Responsibilities:• Supervision of software upgrades/updates and changes/expansion in the core network to ensure minimal service impact.• Vendor management to ensure contractually agreed SLA & KPIs, negotiating scope and pricing of Support and managed services contracts in line with business objectives.• Close coordination with Core network Planning, Implementation, IT & Marketing department in order to ensure smooth roll-out of new services & platforms to meet the capacity requirements.• Team management, setting goals and objective and provide continuous guidance to the core network team to achieve operational excellence.Achievements:• Successful roll out of CAMEL base International roaming services which enables Telenor to become the first operator in the country offering Pre-paid roaming services.• Smooth roll-out of MNP solution on the Core Network platforms.• Ensuring Operational readiness and rollout for NSN R4 Core Network solution.• Managing complete subscriber migration from NSN HLRi to Huwaei Ng-HLR

Responsible for supervising the Etisalat Software support Centre for Alcated E10 Switches. This include Fault Troubleshooting and coordination with Vendor for early resolution, testing of new software updates & upgrades and its roll-out in network.

Joined Ufone before the launch of its commercial operations in the NSS team in south region. Prime responsiblity was to ensure smooth operations of NSS NEs. Initally worked to develop O&M routines, fault handling and then later on develop interst in GSM signaling protocols.

Responsible for the commissioning & Integration of Alcatel E10 switches and RLUs in the PTCL PSTN network and providing Technical support to them.
