Heading End to End Supply Chain Management of 22 Mn Coal for India's Largest CPP of 3615 MW.

KRA / KPI- Coal Procurement and Logistics for 3615 MW Thermal Power Plant.- Design and develop the strategic plan and road map for coal procurement thus ensuring that coal is made available in correct quantity, quality and on time.- Develop annual coal procurement budgets, monitor the same and undertake corrective actions in case of deviations.- Hold joint accountability of Logistics function of 20 million MT of coal for India’s largest CPP Supply Chain Management from mines to plant unloading- Dealing with a wide range of stakeholders including Coal colliery, Railways, Sampling Agents, CHA, Transporters, Port Operations, Plant Rail Operations for uninterrupted operations- Successfully administered the contracts such as stevedoring, AMM, transportation for bringing 20 million MT cargo- Procured Coal from 4 railway zones, 12 railway divisions and different ports across the globe 20 million MT to plant through road, rail, road cum rail and so on- 15 rakes /day volumes of several commodities by coordinating with railway authorities and internal stakeholders- Responsible for Coal quality improvement, Mines Regradation, Coal quality losses refunds and Advocacy related to Coal Quality Improvement.- Evaluating and reviewing company’s logistics operations business practices, updating and developing process documentation, restructuring opportunities, and eliminating non-value added activities

KRA / Responsibilities:• Responsibility to procure Imported Thermal (Non-Coking) coal for production of 3.3 Million Tons Per Annum Clinker plant at Kutch,Gujarat along with 2 X 25 MW CPP and 6.8 Million Per Annum Cement Grinding unit at Hazira,Surat.• Have already handled procurement of Imported Thermal coal of Indonesian, South African, US origin from various suppliers. Formulation of procurement strategy involving Fuel Cost evaluation, Logistic management and Risk Evaluation. • Participate in internal strategic meeting and review meeting on regular basis called by top management including promoters directors for discussion on long term planning and procurement of coal with focus on procurement of coal by optimizing cost. • Been responsible to float inquiries to large number of overseas coal suppliers (mines owner, global traders etc) examine their offers in accordance with current market trend / practice, suitability in accordance with clinker cost, comparing with available international coal benchmark prices or Indices (Spot / Forward) i.e Argus, Platts, Global Coal etc, negotiate techno commercial terms including quantity, price, delivery terms, quality, price adjustment sampling and inspection, shipping terms, Payments terms etc.• Been responsible to prepare, negotiate sale purchase agreement with counter parties, arrange post shipment inspection at stockpiles by Independent surveyors of international repute, opening L/C and arrange required amendment, monitoring loading of trucks at discharge port.• Been responsible to handle entire value chain post execution of sale purchase agreement from loading point till receipt and consumption of coal in plant by way of day-to-day coordination with various cross functional terms i.e Technical, Finance, Logistics etc for quantity as well as quality reconciliation, reviewing requirement of coal for plant, documents for statutory clearances, handling, stevedoring and transportation of cargo to plant.

KRA/Responsibilities:• Responsible for total coal procurement for 41 MW CPP thru linkage,E-Auction and Market source.• Liasioning and follow up with WCL official, for monthly coal release orders, delivery orders as per Fuel Supply agreement. Preparation of internal documents related to release of the same. • Participation in monthly E-Auction conducted by WCL and SCCL.• Surveying of all the coal mines available for auction, collection of samples and comparative studies of technical parameters.• Knowledge of washed coal and imported coal related contracts, fuel cost analysis, coal payments working & claim. E auction & payment, Billing, Accounting, Payment. • Maintaining coal and oil stock at optimum level throughout the year. Monitoring Fuel Supply, along with cost cutting strategy by timely procurement before any expected escalation in prices as per ministry notification & market intelligence.• Documentation related to issuance of E-Auction delivery order and payments calculation.• Frequent mines and coal plot visit to ensure consistent coal quality from mines to plant.• Maintaining coal yard and conducting physical verification of coal stock

KRA/Responsibilities:• Strategic procurement and planning of coal in terms of quantity and quality at most cost effective price by maintaining a stock balance of 15 days.• Maintaining avg daily receipt of coal more than the consumption during the plant operation. Reducing the lead time for GRN preparation by proper accounting of coal.• Proper monitoring of coal quality and re verification of analysis result with several inspection agencies to keep an eye on the coal quality and Inspection agency's trustworthiness to safeguard the interest of the company• Total ash evacuation generated in plant by disposing it to Ash pond or by dispatching it to various Cement Plants of nearby area with coordination of cement plant officials and monitoring bulker moments.• Procurement planning, negotiating with the suppliers, transporters and to co-ordinate for finalization of coal orders at the best available cost comparable with the linkage price to achieve the target of best coal procurement at the cheapest rate.• Maintaining Complete MIS for Coal stock maintenance and reconciliation of Linkage Coal with WCL including Physical Verification. Handling daily 6000-7000 MT of coal through 450/500 trucks.• Planning, Performing, Monitoring & Analyzing the coal logistic includes internal movement activities to execute the job in the best organized way• Efficient maintenance & Function of Issues related to weighbridge and day-to day-to-day supervision of coal yards. • Mines wise quality monitoring from where coal is procured, coal sample collection for close quality check thereby helping in better allocation of linkage coal from WCL.

KRA/Responsibilities:• Hold joint accountability for procurement, sourcing & logistic of coal and oil for 810 Mw Thermal Power Plant and 2.45 MTPA Aluminum Smelter.• Material planning and consumption pattern monitoring. Fuel purchase Department MIS and spend analysis reporting and presentation to CEO/COO.• Handling of 120/130 coal rakes per month from coal companies. Planning of coal quantity and quality requirement, monitoring consumption, inventory management. Evaluating various techno economical options for strategically planning and sourcing of fuel mix viz. indigenous, washed and imported coal.• Management approvals, vendor evaluation, vendor development, benchmarking procurement policy and practices for coal procurement within the group company and with world’s best practices.• Monitoring coal Quality, coal sampling activity reconciliation of claim with coal suppliers. Quality Control of Coal and Oil in terms of GCV, UHV to ensure best quality coal, deciding the optimum fuel mix, according to the market and supply scenario.• Tendering and managing of various coal supply related contracts and service contracts, negotiation of various terms conditions time to time.• Knowledge of ERP like SAP, IFS. Preparation of Purchase Orders, Service Orders, Budget control, Service entry sheet, Goods received Notes, certification of coal bills.• Gathering information MIS related to plant fuel consumption, plant planned shutdown record and business plan for coming time to estimate stock to be maintained. Developing Sourcing Strategies, Competitive Supplier.• Selection & Operational Integration with suppliers for different categories of material.
