Immediately observe client’s reaction and give immediate first aid in case of emergency such as anaphylaxis and inform other health care professionals. Document that vaccine has been administered in the electronic immunization register. Provide after care including follow-up appointment and adverse event advise to clients. Adhere to infection control procedures. Disposes of bio-hazardous waste in the appropriate and prescribed manner. Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Consulting patients in the OPD (for Chemotherapy, follow up), take history, do basic clinical examination, and discuss further management with consultants and do appropriately. Manage outpatients and inpatients with solid tumors.Consult newly diagnosed patients with solid tumors, record proper history, clinical examination findings and discuss with senior medical oncologists. Counsel patients and relatives about the disease and treatment options as per seniors advise.Prescribe chemotherapeutic medicines under the supervision of medical oncologists.Meet patients including those who are coming for routine chemotherapy and follow up, assess general condition, notes complaints, discuss with seniors and manage accordingly. Attend calls from casualty, chemotherapy day care and ward, do basic management and seek seniors advise if further evaluation is needed. Make daily rounds in the ward and ICU along with senior medical oncologists and assess progress of patients. Assist seniors in therapeutic procedures like thoracocentesis, ICD insertion and perform procedures like therapeutic ascetic tap. Involve in weekly department meeting and academic session and interact with seniors and colleagues. Prepare discharge summary for inpatients and make it verified by seniors. Assess progress of the patients and plan further management.

Attend all casualty calls and treat both in patients and outpatients. Refer complicated cases to corresponding consultants in the same hospital. Attend all in patient emergency calls before the consultant arrives. Sign claim and reimbursement documents. Certify death and issue certificates. Communicate with consultants regarding the condition of inpatients and manage them appropriately. Examine the newborn babies before the pediatrician makes notes of the findings.
