Jimmy Dean once said, “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can always adjust my sails to reach my destination.” I, Farhan Alam, was an introverted, shy and reticent child. It was not easy for me to dream of rocking a stage with presence and confidence through public speaking, anchoring or debating. But I would like to call myself a transformed and evolved dreamer, acquisitive learner and determined individual who transformed from a withdrawn person to a blooming social butterfly.I completed my SSC with a GPA of 5.00 in 2021 and my HSC with a GPA of 5.00 in 2023. In 2022, I took part in a business competition where I had to solve a business case on “Coca-Cola’s Challenge in China: Healthy Growth,” and while solving that case, I first acquired skills like problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Also, I got my first idea about business cases and how they work. Also, through debating, I began to love logic-breaking and took part in TV debates and MUN. I observed my father as a businessman and successful entrepreneur while growing up. I saw in him leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, financial management, customer focus, always striving to learn and improve, approaching challenges with a calm and analytical mind, and making a positive impact on the community, and these later motivated me to want to become a businessman and entrepreneur like him. The idea and enthusiasm for innovation also came to my head after I founded a non-profit organization with some of my friends, where we addressed the English language issues comprehensively faced by students in Bangladesh. I played my role there successfully as a "President,” where my duty was to create and implement the organization's vision, mission, strategic planning, and overall direction. I acquired leadership, entrepreneurial, and networking skills from running this organization.To sum up, I am a dedicated person who thrives on exploring opportunities and enjoying life.
