Studied thermal behaviour of Lithium-Ion-Cell for designing of effective cooling system to ensure complete safety against thermal runway. Utilized CFD simulation software “ANSYS®” and designed model/geometry of LiFePO4 (LFP) 26650 cell in design modeller. Calculated thermal and physical values parameters and performed simulations at various C-Rates. Monitored the temperature and current density profiles at different locations of cells. Optimized the best parameters for efficient operation of battery and made recommendations for future. Key Findings: Optimized best parameters for effective Thermal Management System of Lithium-ion battery. • Checked temperature profile at the surface and within the cell to attain valuable outcomes. • Boosted efficiency of LFP cell to mitigate effect of thermal runway process by establishing effective cooling system. • Observed distribution of current density at different locations of cell with different C-Rates. Bachelor’s Degree Project Work: Performed experimental work in bachelor project on the topic “Development and characterization of chitosan based thin films”. Assembled chitosan with Nanoparticles such as ZnO and Ag to improve different properties. Investigated physi0-chemical properties, surface properties, electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties of chitosan-based thin film. Performed testing and compared properties of chitosan-based film against assembled nanoparticles-based chitosan thin film. Key Findings: Modified properties of chitosan (a biopolymer) by assembling plasticizers and Nanoparticles such as ZnO and Ag. Introduced UV stability in chitosan film by adding Ag Nanoparticles, useful in pharmaceuticals and packaging applications. Enhanced anti-bacterial property of chitosan film by addition of Nanoparticles including ZnO and Ag.
