Hello. Since you are reading this you might have or are going to scroll through my profile. There you are going to see that I have graduated in Pharmacy and am working in an IT company.Life is not about what we think or plan, rather it has its own plan whether we like it or not. Right after I finished my graduation a friend of mine referred me to JAAGO Foundation, while I apply for pharmaceutical job. I was not good at talking or convincing so I always applied for QA jobs. Needless to say I did not get many replies. As I had prior experience at teaching during my University days so I had no problem getting recruited. So eventually my journey as an Online Teacher begins and it was a whole new world of fun. The colleagues were so friendly and cool folks that I always looked forward to going to work. (Doesn’t happen often, right?)Though I was experienced in teaching students, teaching a bunch of online students was a novel experience for me. I started designing and creating materials. I also started to discover a world of applications and softwares that intrigued me, there was so much more than to it than just FB (I am not saying it is bad but my knowledge was limited). Gradually, my interest in software and web applications started to grow. After completing the masters (besides teaching as an Online teacher) I started applying for various jobs direly in need of a better paying job, where I can use my knowledge and grow. Then one day I came across a job for Trainee Project Manager at Bit Mascot and in the educational requirement section it read “If you do not have any technical background, we would still like to hear from you provided that you have outstanding communication skills and analytical abilities”. It felt very welcoming and I applied for it without a second thought.I went for the interview and there I met three charming people, that I would never forget, so welcoming that I did not feel intimated at all and communicated like I was already a team member discussing an project. I eventually got a call few day later, informing me that I got selected and thus began my journey as a Trainee Project Manager. But things were not as easy as I thought it would be. I didn’t even know what a bug was since I was not a CSE student but I was guided by patient and helpful colleagues, whenever I faced any obstacles and this motivated me to go on, grow, explore and learn more. The journey became fun and I have colleagues who are more like friends. Oh! And the idea that a developer and tester can’t be friends is totally not true.
