•Performing external, internal & on-stream inspections, turnaround inspections, vessel internals, columns/Towers, separators, storage tanks, exchangers, on/off plot piping for defects, thickness monitoring for corrosion calculations, corrosion loops, Remaining life, Failure investigation etc•Ensures all fixed equipment Mechanical Integrity activities meet or exceed the requirements of corporate standards, plant inspection procedures and the Inspection Workflow Processes.•Determines inspection interval for stationary equipment using tools (RBI, etc.), develops equipment/units inspection plans, documents inspection plans and executes inspections.•Hands on experience for updating SAP with closeout of work orders, raising notifications, Deviations, etc.•Documents inspection findings and recommendations, prioritizes the recommendations and tracks them to closure.•Inspection for internal & external coating systems•Inspection for Relief valves calibration & overhauling. Also review the documentation (testpacks) for new relief valves before calibration and installation at site.•Facilitate Shell RBI (S-RBI) software with inspection findings and work according to RBI plans.•Ensure that during shutdown, job is completed on time with quality in accordance with plan, standards & specification.•To assist the maintenance department in the planning and scheduling of inspection activities to facilitate effective integrity of assets.•Ensuring contractor & repair organization performance on activities related to inspection, NDT activities and compliance with Company contractual requirements and all applicable codes, standards, policies, specifications procedures and guidelines.•Coordination with the concern departments like maintenance and operation to plan on coming and ad-hoc inspection activities.•To plan and make report for weekly activities and to attend meeting on behalf of inspection department.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROJECTS AT DESCON ENGINEERING QATAR:•Involved in the inspections of the pressure vessels, columns, reactor and exchangers for defects, thickness monitoring for corrosion calculations, Remaining life, Failure investigation.•Involved in the inspection of rotating equipments as per client specifications and API standards.•NDE findings and recommend mode of repair for any discovered defects.•Responsible for carrying out mock-up tests prior to welding & hot-tapping of in-service lines.•Responsible for the NDE of in-service lines to verify integrity of Pipelines in-service as per API 570 and other applicable codes.•Inspect WQTs/PQRs by controlling parameters and heat-input to ensure safe working on lives lines. •Prepares and inspect special welding procedures like temper bead welding as an alternate method where PWHT is not possible to conduct on live lines.•Inspect all types of alignments (reverse, rim & face, laser) for rotating equipments like Pumps, compressors, gear boxes, Fin Fans, etc•Pipe to flange alignments for Rotating and Static equipments.•Ensures the smooth operation of preventive maintenance program on plants through preservation procedures.•Get approval of materials to use at site and ensures its compliance to applicable standards & specifications.•Knowledge of API & Welding Codes, Welding Qualification, Welding Consumables, Non Destructive Testing.•Fabrication, Calibration, Radiographic Reports, Documentation, Report Generation.•Performance Review, Client Interaction, QA /QC, Knowledge of API, ASTM, ASME, AWS Codes.•Leadership, Time Management, Decision Making & Problem Solving Skills.•Developing PQP, QCPs, QIPs/ITPs, WPS for various projects.•Documenting and reporting Quality inspection activities.•Plan and conduct internal audits and circulate audit summary reports.
