Current Effectively administering GEICO MicroStrategy environment since Fall 2010. Responsibilities include I-server, MicroStrategy web server, user/license management, Narrowcast, Enterprise Manager. Create and maintain MicroStrategy configuration objects (projects, DB Instance, security roles, users, etc) in the production environment. Independently architect MicroStrategy schema objects (basic to high complexity) to reflect the entire data model in the data warehouse. Build application objects (basic to high complexity) and manage projects through entire application development life cycle. Performed MicroStrategy upgrade (I-server, metadata, web server, Narrowcast). Configured Enterprise Manager and Narrowcast system. Developed actionable and intuitive dynamic executive dashboards, using various widgets and selectors. Developed from the scratch event-based services in MicroStrategy Narrowcast server. Researched and formulated a performance testing proposal for another MicroStrategy group within GEICO. Jointly work with DBAs to troubleshoot performance issues in the data warehouse. Act as MicroStrategy Tech Support liaison. Communicate with the end user in order to gather business requirements and create technical design documents (report specification forms). Provide BI work breakdown structure and corresponding BI estimate. Proactively communicate with management about issues and corresponding possible solutions during development and testing phase. Interview potential candidates when necessary, and mentor newer members in the team. Act as the ambassador for the EDWBI team and demonstrate MicroStrategy functionalities to business groups within GEICO. Viewed as the “go to” person of the EDWBI team, who has strong technical skills, will follow up, and take action quickly.
