• Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, reviews and interprets prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients using computerized patient profiles to ensure the appropriateness of dosage and to determine the significance of potential drug-drug interaction.• Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, contact and confers with physicians concerning the appropriate drug, dose, dosing interval, drug allergy and drug-drug interaction.• Prepares and dispenses appropriate amount of inpatients and outpatient medication under supervision of a pharmacist.• Fill automated dispensing machines and delivers patient medications accurately.• Conducts I.V. rounds and under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares I.V. additives using aseptic techniques in the laminar air flow hood.• Prepares the admixtures chemotherapy using aseptic and safe technique in type II safety hood under direct pharmacist supervision. Other Duties:- Organizes out dated or overstocked medications to return to manufactures or wholesaler for credit.- Files documents and records.- Under supervisor of a pharmacist, monitor selected patient’s drug therapy to ensure effective therapy.- Conducts monthly nursing unit and pharmacy inspections when necessary.- Maintains a clean working environment.- Assists manager in developing and implementing new programs and policies and procedures; actively participates in gathering accurate data for quality assurance issues, clinical pharmacy documentation, DUE and ADR.- Performs other job related duties as assigned by the pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.

• Drug procurement, large and small volume IV preparation, and medication distribution to the patient care center, and a variety of clerical support functions.• Assists the pharmacist in the dispensing of patient medications including the order entry process as demonstrated through observation• Assists in the daily preparation, labeling and scheduling of continuous and intermittent Intravenous solutions as demonstrated through documentation and observation.• Replenishes patient unit dose medication containers on the patient care units and patient care Centers' medication areas.• Assists in the daily pharmaceutical inventory process.• Assists in the daily preparation, distribution and filing of patient/nursing and pharmacy records.• Processes patient and patient care units' pharmaceutical charges as required.• Prepare I.V.'s in compliance with Federal and State regulations and hospital policy and procedures in a timely manner, utilizing good clinical judgment and aseptic techniques.

- Assist Pharmacy Technician in Prescription filling.- Deliver filled prescriptions through tubing system or by hand as required to the designated nursing stations.- Sort out prescription labels according to Drugs generics and Patients name.- Assist Pharmacy Technician in preparing daily crash cart.- Serve Technicians in IV and tablet stock section.- Help out Technician in labeling and marking dates to drugs.
