Place Future Leader Exchange scholarship students with host families and local area high schools. Primary Duties:Conduct host family interviews to determine suitability and safety of home and family. Conduct host family and exchange student orientations to prepare them for the year ahead. Lead student ambassador presentations and volunteer projects. Provide guidance and cultural consultation to students, families and schools. Intervene and assist with conflict resolution when necessary.Consult with and make recommendations to US State Department on various aspects of the FLEX scholarship program. Attend annual national meetings and conferences to provide input to the leaders of this international peace building initiative.Successes:Have been able to place all assigned students as well as extra placements due to ability to tap into various community networks.Was named Coordinator of the Month by Program of Academic Exchange in June, 2009.Have been asked to increase responsibility by recruiting and training fellow coordinators, leading national level student orientation in Washington DC, and setting up a Language Program for students with weak English scores.Was thanked for my efforts and support by my students during Community Appreciation dinner with gifts and a heartwarming video from the year.Several schools have increased the number of Exchange Student openings for PAX FLEX students due to their satisfaction with the support they received from me this year.

Promoted practice to Primary Care physicians resulting in 15% increase in referrals. Also participated in office management duties including recruiting, stress lab management and day to day operations.
