Farid Chacón is the founder and CEO of NMD NOMADAS International since 1999, and CREATIVE THINKER for the US offices since 2021. For more than two decades, he has led the vision, design process, business and strategic thinking of the firm; achieving important international recognition and leading the group to develop projects of different scales and typologies around the world. Farid and his team have developed more than 25 million square feet of projects ranging from large malls, hotels, residential buildings, museums, office buildings, and commercial buildings; to single-family homes and interior design projects. This trajectory has led him to interact with developers, investors, engineering professionals, city departments, and constructors in diverse scenarios, languages, latitudes, and cultures. Currently, from Miami, he leads a team of more than 30 people who guide the development of NMD NOMADAS from 11 cities and 6 countries; providing alliances and opportunities for collaboration that are constantly expanding this ecosystem of design, business, project development, and research. Before founding NMD NOMADAS Int., Farid worked with the renowned architect Fruto Vivas; learning, first-hand, about Vivas's humanistic vision of architecture. As well as, his sense of responsibility and his impact on the environment and the human being. Later on, he studied a Master's Degree in Architecture while in Europe, at the UPC (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunia), in Barcelona, Spain. He had the honor of learning from professors who were also internationally recognized critics, architects, and philosophers; such as: Josep Quetglas, Enric Miralles, Guillem Catalá, and Miguel Morey. The Master's program focused on architectural analysis and critical thinking applied to projects and professional practices.His role as leader of NMD NOMADAS has led him to pursue studies in Senior Management and to develop personal business strategy programs with important advisors and international strategic management consulting firms.The sum of 22 years of experience has led Farid Chacón to present himself as an integral professional who pursues both architecture and life from a place of balance and equilibrium. His experience can be seen materialized in his line of thought HUE; which is nothing more than a window of reflection on the Human, Urban, and Economic value in professional practice and in the challenges that architecture faces in the current and future society.
