Two years later, we had a grand launch of the HarperCollins publication 'An Uncensored Life'....rubbing shoulders with literary stars I had earlier admired from afar at the Times LitFest in Mumbai, India....a surreal experience. A whirlwind of grand launches in Mumbai and Pune in India, followed by book readings at three public libraries in Auckland and at the Auckland Art Gallery, was the starting point of an incredible journey. The high point was of course our recent US book tour that began in Los Angeles and travelled to Houston, Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York...where we met some extremely helpful souls, leadership coaches and networking gurus who made it all happen almost magically. Everything worked seamlessly and we had to literally pinch ourselves when we were invited to address an audience at the gateway of the universe --NASA, Goddard Space Centre in DC! It was as if the universe conspired to make things happen as we were invited to the George Washington University to do a book reading and had an opportunity to meet so many fascinating educators. Addressing Turkish women at the Turquoise House in Houston and interacting with another fabulous audience at the New York Open Centre along with my muse Zerbanoo, were a series of `happystances' that well illustrated the core message of the book that nothing is impossible. You can achieve everything you set your mind to. Also that we want the same things--to be acknowledged, empowered, and be treated with dignity and respect. But above all, we all hope to make a difference. Show less
