Managing independent evaluations for the degree of compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) criteria for a security program and the effectiveness of its automated and manual controls. The scopes of the reviews were to determine the information security program and practices in place for Federal Clients.Performed an independent evaluation of the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Memorandum M-06-16, Protection of Sensitive Agency Information requirements for FY2006. Managed an evaluation to determine whether the data elements within the Federal Client’s system were reliable. Data reliability refers to the accuracy and completeness of computer processed data, given the intended purposes for use. Procedures were completed in accordance with the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO’s) Government Auditing Standards, as amended.Managingthe enhancement of an existing Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) program for a Federal agency. Reviewed existing documentation and provided recommendations for improvement; discussed leading industry practices and how they could be included in the existing program; and developed and delivered an improved, robust, multi-layered training program that he provided to all agency staff and targeted to specific and general roles as outlined in the COOP documentation.
