ILOG ZIMBABWE T/A INTERLOG, 1 Waller Road Groombridge Harare (Freight Forwarding, Logistics) My journey in finance has been rewarding and above all fulfilling especially when I get recognition of the work I do and get the promotion to a position that would not be ordinarily in the organisation.Besides standing in for the Managing Director when not around and being part of the BOD my other duties as the Finance Director include:  Analysing and reporting on financial performance. Developing and implementing accounting policies Financial planning and development of effective financial strategies,  Improving revenue, monitoring expenditure, cash-flow management and maintaining a healthy financial position,  Liaison with External Auditors and ensuring that Financials have been audited and signed within the given timelines Overseeing internal controls,  Budgeting, budgetary monitoring and control and setting financial targets,  Managing all legal (including contracts), compliance and statutory matters and seeking professional expertise where required. Managing all Tax heads, Income Tax, PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, Tax on Dividends Movable and non-movable Asset Management Human Resources Management including and not limited to recruitment, employee contract management, payroll processing, disciplinary hearing procedures. Supervising Accounting, Human Resources and Administration staff, and overseeing the Operations department.  Current Board secretary , compile the board pack, organise board meetings, write board minutes Overseeing the opening of new companies in other countries and managing all administrative matters.

Prepared financial statements and management accounts using Pastel V12 , which financial statements have been used by stakeholders . My work also involves preparation of regulatory reports and ensuring compliance thereby reducing the risk of legal issues arising. In addition i have developed various finance, credit control and risk management policies and procedures across all business units which are currently being used as there were no prior policies and procedures in place. Furthermore i oversee the recruitment and identification of staff training needs, maintenance of facilities and fleet. Above all i have excellent command of softwares such as Pastel, Paynet, Belina payroll and Microsoft Office packages. My strengths are good leadership skills, able to work in a team, innovative, goal oriented and good communication skills

Provided technical support and direction to audit teams and ensured that the audits were properly planned, resourced, supervised and completed. My competences include evaluation internal control systems, compliance testing and providing recommendations thereto, identifying areas of weakness and writing reports of findings

Worked as a supervisor in financial accounting department enhanced my leadership skills. Competences gained included the preparation of the Bank’s Interim and Annual Financial Statements, monthly management accounts , budgeting and variance analysis , reconciliations, debtor and creditor management and reviewing and implementing new accounting policies and procedures.
