Mackenzie M. Farmer graduated from Texas State with a B.A. in political science and then went back to her homesstate of Ohio to go to law school. She holds her juris doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law. Mackenzie was awarded the CALI award (highest grade) in her first year legal research and writing course. The summer after her first year of law school, she interned at the Twelfth District Court of Appeals. While studying in her second and third year, she law clerked at the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office. After law school, she worked as a personal injury and workers' compensation attorney for a small firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. She now works as a Senior Claim Technical Director for Great American Insurance Group in Cincinnati, Ohio where she is handling complex casualty claims. She also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Associate in Claims - Managment (AIC-M) designations and has achieved the Advanced Leadership Bronze in Toastmasters International Leadership Program.
