At Wego, I had the opportunity to work on several pivotal projects that contributed significantly to the company's technical ecosystem:Server Driven User Interface (SDUI) Service: I worked on the development of the SDUI service, leveraging Spring Boot for the backend and Next.js for the frontend. This innovative service allowed for seamless updates to the mobile user interface without the need for a full mobile application build, enhancing agility and user experience.Value Added Service: I worked to build and enhance the Value Added Service, using Spring Boot, Redis, and Java. This service facilitated the integration of insurance providers like Hepstar and Cover Genius, while maintaining a generic and scalable codebase, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to future partnerships and offerings.User Auth Service: I spearheaded a challenging migration project in which I efficiently transferred legacy APIs from the old ROR-based user service to the new User Auth Service built on Spring Boot. This transition involved the seamless integration of OAuth and the configuration of security through the Spring Authorization Server, ensuring the implementation of robust authentication and authorization processes. Notably, we successfully migrated the data of 14 million users to our new PostgreSQL schema from the legacy SQL system.These experiences not only broadened my technical expertise but also strengthened my ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive innovative solutions. During my tenure of 2 years and 4 months at ebricks, I played a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of critical modules of mesmer which is a product to automate mobile applications testing:Crawl Module Transformation: I undertook a significant overhaul of the existing crawl module, which was responsible for generating a comprehensive tree of possible screens by simulating user interactions with mobile applications. This module had a history of long execution times and occasional failures due to service issues. I re-engineered it to be data-driven, utilizing the output folder containing mobile application screen images and their corresponding DOMs from previous runs. This helped us check the consistency in the execution of our crawl module and also regenerate the root causes that caused the crawl to fail.Accessibility Service Enhancement: I took on the challenge of optimizing the accessibility service, which assessed mobile applications for compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards. Through meticulous work, I managed to achieve a remarkable 90% improvement in memory efficiency. This not only enhanced the overall performance of the service but also contributed to a more streamlined and resource-efficient assessment of accessibility compliance.These experiences have not only enriched my technical skill set but also instilled in me a commitment to solving complex problems with innovative solutions.
