Worked on United Easy Check-In (UEC) project that was delivered nationally on May 2001. It provides customers of united Airlines the ease and efficiency to check-in, get boarding passes and check bags without assistance. UEC is a multi-tier application using specialized middle-tier block called Virtual Message Provider (VMP). The VMP deals with messaging between the Kiosk Transaction Server (IBM) and Apollo reservation system, and also implements business rules. The VMP was implemented in C/C++.My Tasks Included:1. Wrote PNR Validation, seat map, seat change and upgrade modules of the VMP using the underlying Runway architecture in C/C++.2. Designed and developed a statistical application for generating daily usability report for the Kiosks (EZStat). Java servlet/jsp front end with XML repository.3. Involved in the design and implementation of a web based front-end for the Kiosks using Java applets, JSP and JavaBeans.4. Beta-Support for UEC Application.

The aim of the project was to monitor and report the state changes within the various components of electrical boilers, and to create logs that list their performance and service. The application consisted of three components. The monitor display, the back end storage handling modules and the communication protocol.My tasks included:1. Design monitoring layout using OOAD concepts and implemented using C++ graphical libraries.2. Wrote optimal data storage and retrieval algorithms and Data Structures and implemented in C.3. Implemented 3-wire, double handshake RS-232 protocol to provide interface with the instrumentation equiptment.4. Participated in Unit and Integration testing of various other modules.
