I joined The National Investor during its early days in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity enabled me to ensure a solid IT foundation was in place by revamping the IT budgets and infrastructure based on ITIL/COBIT. At the same time, I was able to build and support the IT team across TNI and its subsidiaries, while drafting a full set of IT Policy & Procedures. This meant I was able to ensure the implementation of best practise IT across Audit, Corporate Governance & Compliance, Disaster Recovery, Asset Management etc., as well as forging relationships with key industry partners such as SCA, Central Bank UAE, DFSA and SAMAIn addition, I was able to ignite and direct innovative collaborations with market data vendors to manage market data services, contracts and to deliver uninterrupted services, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and Zawya.

Reporting to the Global Chief Technology Officer and often presenting to the board of directors, my remit deployed system-wide IT support to more than 3,000 team members in the five-office, six-market European network.My team’s effort was applauded for saving millions of dollars by centralising IT, replacing Case DCX with Network Systems IDNX, as well as deploying Voicemail Integration and effective Customer Services & Support Performances – including analysis and documentation of business processes, needs and solutions.Among other notable projects is the change from the French Franc to the Euro and from open cry trading to electronic trading on the French stock exchange, as well as ongoing Continuity & Disaster Recovery, and specifically for Y2K.
