After working with the Arcadia Group for 5 years, I originally started at 16 in Liverpool TOPSHOP TOPMAN as part of the TOPMAN brand. My knowledge and experience was with menswear, where I worked as part of the product team - ensuring ASO (all sizes out), money mapping - working out which departments met the forecasted plans and taking part in stock take. Towards the end of my time with TOPMAN, I gained my experienced sales advisor qualification which helped with my move to the London flagship (see below). Since returning to the Liverpool store, I changed brand and took on the role of Team Leader in TOPSHOP. This role included overseeing recruitment and induction, floor control, monitoring the personal development of the team, holding appraisals and balance reviews. Running weekly incentives and forecasting store briefs in order to drive team motivation and engagement was a key part of my role as well as focusing upon figures and reports in order to drive zero sellers and push any add on sales to better the company in terms of sales vs plan. Working in TOPSHOP TOPMAN has given me skills in sales, leadership, customer service, till training, health and safety, stock loss, giving feedback positively and negatively, and dealing with difficult situations both operationally and commercially.
