As an equity research analyst I covered Utilities and Merchant Power stocks and helped build the utilities stock picking that became ranked #1 on Wall Street.In this position I:• Assisted my team in launching coverage on 16 stocks and 2 industries, writing parts of the 150 pg. report.• Created and updated financial models on 12 stocks: CPN, FE, ED, SRE, GEN, NRG, XEL, EIX, NVE, PNW, NEE, and AEP.• Valued stocks with a combination of methods including sum of the parts, DCF, DDM, relative P/E, and EV/EBITDA.• Conducted scenario analysis to gauge impact of bear, bull, and base case forecasts.• Advocated changes to stock ratings and honed investment theses in senior analyst’s reports.• Advised hedge fund clients and senior corporate management about industry trends and the team’s key forecasts.• Analyzed and wrote daily about the meaning of news affecting the utilities industry and our stock coverage universe.• Met with and questioned the senior management of companies under coverage.

I was an equity research intern at Morgan Stanley on the Oil Services team ranked #1 across all investment banks by Institutional Investor magazine.In this position I:• With > 99% accuracy, predicted Iraq's oil production several years in the future.• Forecasted Iraq’s annual spending on oil services, production, and the likely impact on major oil services stocks from 2010 to 2016 (in bull, bear, and base scenarios with 9 variables).• Wrote a 22 page report on Iraq’s oil sector that was published by the oil services team.

2009-2010• Delivered lectures on the investment methods of Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffet, and Phil Fisher.• Lead an investment team that researched and presented stocks for the club to purchase with its $50,000 fund. The last stock I pitched to the club, Texas Industries (TXI), rose within 4 months by 120%.

• Became involved in the stock market at age 9 by collecting financial market data from the early internet, analyzing it, and presenting trade ideas to my father based on the principles he taught me about options trading. Started trading on my own at age 15.• Studied and outlined The Intelligent Investor and The Interpretation of Financial Statements by Graham, Soros on Soros by Wien, and The Investment Strategies of Hedge Funds by Stefanini, among others.• I wrote notes several times a week on the framework and factors that lead to consistent investment success.
