In 2009 I took my first Statistics course as a filler course while majoring in Geology. The analytical perspective that statistics provides, which can help uncover unusual insights, quickly turned me into a passionate data analytics enthusiast. While working in the Chemometric Research Center at Idaho State University I discovered my second passion, writing software. Since graduating from Idaho State University, I have been increasing my knowledge and skills in software and data. In my current position at Micron Technology, I use both of my passions to build software to deliver data science insights. Recently, I finished a Masters degree in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology. Now that I have more free time, I am actively working on applying my skills in software and data to explore issues that I care about. When I am not writing software, analyzing data, or reading about new techniques I enjoy hanging out with my family, craft beer, Tae-Kwon-Do, tennis, and playing guitar, though not in that order. Reach out to me if you want to discuss machine learning, software, or any of my hobbies.

Software DeveloperFarm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company Of Idaho Oct 2011 - Oct 2013Pocatello, Idaho AreaCurrently at Farm Bureau we are implementing the Guidewire platform to replace our legacy policy management and billing systems. I mostly work on integrating PolicyCenter (Guidewire's policy management system) with external systems from document management and production to an external rating engine. Most of the integrations that I have worked on have included our Enterprise Service Bus (which is currently Websphere Message Broker).
