Business Services Group Manager is a senior executive leading BES, reports to the bureau director, is one of three members of the Director’s Advisory Team, and is the bureau’s primary representative to the Portland Utility Board (PUB).In this role, I lead the financial and resource management functions necessary to achieve BES's mission, including managing the bureau's $730M annual budget, human resource management for our 700 FTE staff, and bond financing the bureau's $1B 5-year capital program. Lead the development and execution of internal governance, controls, and business processes that are aligned with the city’s core values, consistent with city standards, and support efficient service delivery to bureau customers and the community. Lead the development, evolution and execution of the bureau’s strategic initiatives. Provides general leadership within the bureau, the Public Works Service Area, and citywide.I plan, organize and direct the work of the Business Services Group and the four divisions that comprise the group: Financial Services, Administrative Services, Contract Services, and Revenue Programs.
