Farshad is a partner at WR Global, leading the firm's San Francisco practice. Farshad assists with all aspects of corporate immigration, representing top multinational organizations across a range of industries, including technology, consulting, financial and professional services. He provides advisory services to clients' Human Resource, Talent Acquisition and legal departments to creating dynamic immigration programs. Additionally, he guides both start-up and established companies alike in making intelligent immigration decisions. Farshad is also a current member of the executive committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association ("AILA") serving as a treasurer. AILA is the national association of more than 15,000 attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. Founded in 1946, AILA is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that provides continuing legal education, information, professional services, and expertise through its 39 chapters and over 50 national committees.Prior to joining WR Global, he led a boutique firm in the Jackson Square district of downtown San Francisco that specializes in business immigration and consular practice. Born in Tehran, Iran, he received a law degree from Ankara University in 1994, and directly after law school, accepted an internship, and soon after a position at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Branch Office in Ankara, Turkey. Later he obtained his J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Florida Frederic G. Levin College of Law in 2000. Farshad held a position as Senior International Associate at Deloitte, LLP. and in 2002, he opened his immigration practice in the Financial District of San Francisco.Farshad is a current member of the Florida, Minnesota, and District of Columbia Bars, as well as the Istanbul Bar Association in Turkey. He is also admitted to practice before the Federal Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida.
