As part of Latitude’s Data Platforms and Engineering (DPE) leadership team, I help ensure our business-critical data platforms are built to our high standards of engineering, security and reliability. We develop and maintain various batch and real-time systems, providing timely and reliable access to data through our REST APIs, real-time streams (Kafka and Kinesis), Snowflake data warehouse and S3 data lake enabling risk management, marketing, regulatory and analytics use cases, among others.Our core technologies include Airflow, AWS services (e.g., ECS, Glue, SageMaker, Macie), Kafka, Snowflake, Elasticsearch and Neptune and our main programming languages are Python and Scala.

I led the successful first implementation of Quantexa’s state-of-the-art entity resolution and contextual decision intelligence technology in Australia for a Big Four bank and built out Quantexa’s talented APAC data engineering team, which has continued to deliver many successful projects.Quantexa is a global business with offices in London, New York, Boston, Brussels, Toronto, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney. The technology stack comprised Apache Spark (Scala), Elasticsearch and Docker as well as various other implementation-specific technologies (e.g., AWS ECS, Kubernetes, AWS EMR).

Pepperstone is an online Forex and CFD Broker providing traders across the globe with cutting-edge technology to trade the world’s markets.I lead the development of a real-time data pipeline that streams trades from different trading platforms (e.g., MT4, MT5 and cTrader) into a single, unified data source. This unified and centralized view of Pepperstone’s trades has revolutionized the company’s decision making, risk management, fraud detection and analytical research capabilities and has helped meet regulators’ increasingly stringent reporting requirements.As a data architect, I also ensure best practices are followed by data scientists, including streamlined development processes, proper testing and monitoring.Our technology stack includes Apache Spark (Structured Streaming), Apache Airflow and Apache Kafka as well as AWS technologies such as S3, EMR, SNS, SQS, Redshift, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation and CloudWatch.
