Desktop Support Engineer
CurrentRole and responsibilities:• Provide critical first, second- and third-line support for our internal business users.• Support user inbound incidents and requests through phone, email, and chat via an internal system to diagnose problems.• •Provide support to users/administrators of our platform. Supporting and contributing to the growth of best practices for the delivery of support services•Provide support to onsite Infrastructure platform, Cloud technologies, and troubleshooting practices to ensure successful resolution of challenging technical situations.•Act as a customer advocate, prioritizing and managing assigned incidents and escalations in the queue with little or no supervision.•Engage with cross-functional teams like operations and engineering to build, drive and improve tools and processes for quicker issue resolution.•Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access.•Create and maintain documentation as it relates to application configuration, processes, and service.•Oversee new and existing deployment of systems and application technology upgrades.•Research applications and systems technologies, products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the ICT trends industry.•Oversee the end users’ applications and systems technical support to ensure end-user technical support quality assurance.• Provide inputs to designing, deploying, implementing, and maintaining end users’ Cloud and Office 365 environments.• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Server and Computer hardware, Server and computer operating systems, and software. This includes operating system updates, patches, software updates, firmware updates, security patches, and general configuration maintenance.• Administrate MS Windows, AD, O365, SCCM, VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam B&R, Exchange.
