• Contribute to well proposal documents by assisting in the definition of well evaluation objectives and the petrophysical logging (design tool strings, operation sequences, etc) and possibly coring requirements necessary to deliver on those objectives in a cost effective manner• Work closely with drilling and service providers to ensure that adequate data acquisition planning and preparation are in place prior to drilling the well.• Provide subsurface support to drilling and well services operations.• Communicate effectively on progress of operations to allow the right operational decisions to be taken• Ensure effective quality control during data acquisition, and any service company post acquisition processing.• Provide support for geosteering of horizontal wells in line with well objectives.• Provide formation evaluation / petrophysical analysis during drilling and as part of a final well (petrophysical) report post drilling.• Plan and provide real-time support in formation pressure testing and sampling programs including Modular Dynamic tester (MDT) probe based and packer based measurements.• Ensure that all Petrophysical data and reports are properly captured in company archives and databases.• Mentor junior members of the team.

In this role I was primarily responsible for managing Oil and Gas operator expectations and providing high level petrophysical support in Exploration and Development stages of the various fields.Leading a team of seven, covering all the aspect of LWD interpretation to aid the client in Interpreting the data and make decisions to place and wells optimally.

During my role as Junior/ senior petrophysicist I was responsible for providing technical support to the field and the sales group in general. I provided extensive support to our clients by keeping them abreast of the available answer products to help them achieve their objectives. Some examples include introduction of Real-time images while drilling to assist in geosteering and placing the horizontal wells optimally, modelling complex EM-propagation resistivity responses in horizontal wells to extract the true resistivity for saturation computations, use of real-time LWD data for a daily petrophysical interpretation to assist in making quick and robust decision for the future course of the well, and many more.

During my tenor as an LWD field engineer, I have been involved in running almost all the LWD tools in the field at the time. My primary focus was to deliver the best measurements while drilling the well, to enable the well-site geologist and town petrophysicists to make optimal decisions for placing the wells in the best hydrocarbon bearing reservoirs. My prime focus was on data quality control on a 24x7 basis during the course of the well.

During my tenor as a Mud Logger I was responsible for analysis of drilled cutting,data quality control and transfer of data to the client. I was also responsible for making the geological Log (Master Log). I was also responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of the advanced logging system (ALS) unit.I was also a part of the advanced Kick Detection system introduction to clients in Oman. Another important part of my job was to assist in core description and analysis at the wellsite. On one occasion I was working as the acting wellsite geologist for an exploration well in Oman.
