Sustainability & innovation consulting agency for Dutch organisations, universities and NGO’s that want to innovate in the agricultural sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).My role is to initiate meaningful collaborations between the right parties and coordinate sustainable projects. As a change catalyst, I’m involving all stakeholders to find innovative solutions in order to solve the challenges and remove present-day roadblocks.The most recent project is the Agricultural Transition Kurdistan Region Iraq (ATKRI). This project aims to make the Slemani region future proof and a sustainable pioneer in the region, by applying the newest innovative strategies in order to build the capacity to become self-sustaining with food production, while preparing for the substantial impact of climate change in the upcoming years. This project is in cooperation with the Wageningen University, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources (KRG) and the governorate of Slemani.

YummieBox is a start-up that offers healthy and playful lunchboxes to elementary schools as a service. Every box consists of original, balanced and healthy recipes. Next to the playful and gamified character of adding collectibles, it also has an educational character; e.g. explanations about the origin country of the recipe or ingredient. The children are engaged with the co-creation of the recipes through playful workshops.• Winner of multiple social-impact start-up competitions.• Continuously evaluating the needs of parents of elementary schools from a wide variety of different • socio-economic backgrounds in Amsterdam• Developed over 100 different healthy playful and colorful recipes, together with nutrition experts, a behavioral scientist, parents and children.• All meals are 100% vegetarian and the main allergic ingredients are avoided.• Our boxes are designed for reuse, aiming for a zero-waste supply chain.• Our delivery is 100% fossil-free by electric cargo-bikes.

During this research we mapped the impact investing scene in the Netherlands, identified the main challenges in this field and analyzed the current tools and methods to measure ‘social impact’.
