About Farzin Arpatappeh, Phd

I am Materials Scientist and Engineer specialized in mechanical properties of polymer composites. I study the thick cross-section composites produced by compression molding. I produce thermoplastic composites reinforced with carbon fibres.During my PhD studies, I worked under co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Gülgün and Prof. Dr. Melih Papila. I am investigating the multi-scale particle-nanofiber interactions for multifunctional composites, focusing on their engineering and design.Previously, I graduated with an M.Sc. degree in Nanofiber Structure Engineering in 2014. During my M.Sc. under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliakbar Ghareaghaji at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), I studied the tensile properties of PAN/PA hybrid nanofibrous composites. Prior to my M.Sc., I received a B.Sc. in Textile Engineering with the specialization in textile technology from Isfahan University of Technology in 2011.
