Acts in the absence or unavailability of the Solicitor General with respect to matters involving criminal prosecution. Exercises direct supervision over Assistant Solicitor Attorneys and the legal support staff with respect to substantive legal work. Plans, organizes and directs the operations of the Solicitor's Office. Coordinates with with law enforcement agencies; develops rapport and intra-agency cooperation. Acts as liaison with law enforcement officials, members of the legal profession and judicial court members on cases filed, legal processes and procedures, and resolves problems encountered. Assists the Solicitor General in formulating, implementing and monitoring office policies, procedures, goals and objectives.

Served as prosecuting attorney in felony cases in the complex trial division through all phases of litigation. Interviewed and advised law enforcement, victims and witnesses on criminal procedure and legal proceedings. Managed high volume caseload involving extensive case preparation. Provided legal advice to Fulton County officers on various legal issues including search and seizure and probable cause. Jury trial experience to include Armed Robbery, Homicides, Child Molestation, Murder and a Civil Competency Trial.

Prosecute state court cases with direct litigation responsibilities in all phases including arraignment, trial and sentencing. Conduct investigations with law enforcement personnel including the examining of criminal histories, interviewing witnesses and targeting specific victim concerns. Responsible for special hearings including bond forfeitures, probation revocations and motions to suppress. Attend various advanced training seminars. Draft and file various motions and briefs including appellate briefs to the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. Manage high volume caseload involving extensive case preparation. Selected to train new attorneys in all areas of litigation including professionalism and ethical behavior. Provide legal advice to Richmond County officers on various legal issues including ethics, search and seizure and probable cause. First chair jury trial experience since 2005. Serve as Senior Attorney on trials assigned to new attorneys including providing guidance and assistance with trial preparation and, at trial, conducting cross examination and closing arguments. Teach seminar to Sheriff's department new recruits on appropriate courtroom and trial demeanor and ethical behavior. Certified in DUI detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

Provide classroom instruction on business and legal topics in accordance with university requirements. Prepare and present lectures to student on constitutional, criminal and business law. Evaluate and provide feedback on student presentations and papers. Teach Undergraduate courses: Criminal Justice, Constitutional History, Employment Law and Business Law. Teach Graduate course: Business Law.
