HYCIDE magazine is an art and photojournalism publication created in 2011. It provides an intimate glimpse into the lives of marginalized people around the world and features the work of cutting edge emerging and established artists. The entire collection of HYCIDE was acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art Thomas J. Watson Library, The Newark Public Library, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and the International Center of Photography. My responsibilities included assigning and editing stories, developing editorial content for print and online stories, event management, developing and managing strategic partnerships and marketing.

LPCCD is a sustainable arts community development organization built on affordable housing, green jobs, Black music, culture and urban farming. I served as Communications Manager at LPCCD and Co-Founder of the Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival. The Lincoln Park Music Festival was originally developed in partnership with Afro-Punk and Rock Steady Crew to create a three-day outdoor music concert which would revitalize Newark's historic Lincoln Park community. The festival is still ongoing and is now celebrating its 13th year. After our partnership in 2005, AfroPunk moved its festival from inside NYC clubs to an outdoor venue at BAM and became a tremendous success.

I organized over 30 issue-based workshops for the 2004 National Hip Hop Political Convention --a four day event designed to mobilize and position young people for future political leadership. Issues addressed included Voter Disenfranchisement, Criminal Justice, Education, Environmental Justice, Equality and Human Rights.
