Assistant Manager Engineering Design
Current• Expertise in the mechanical design of E.H.V class of Power Transformers of Voltage up to 400kV and Capacity up to 315MVA. • Develop design concepts, prepare mechanical assembly & subassembly drawings, detailed part drawings as well as production parts lists (BOM) using 3D CAD (PTC Creo Parametric) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).• Preparation of General Arrangement, Bill of Materials, Foundation Layout, Transportation, VSP, HV and LV cable boxes (air-filled & oil filled), and various customer drawings as per project schedule.• Preparation of Transformer layout & checking along with cost estimation of steel and oil for tender & actual design purposes.• Design, calculation, and drafting of power transformer tank based on client’s specifications.• Design and preparation of manufacturing drawings including Core Frame and Core Assembly, Outer Assembly, and External parts.• Interaction with suppliers/fabricators to resolve various issues regarding manufacturing methods, processes, etc. • Expertise in stress analysis of transformer tanks using FEA with Creo Simulate softwarefor design validation & optimization.
