My responsibilities include:*Conducting tutorial sessions for a cumulative fifteen hours per week, offering supplemental instruction and support to fellow students.*Collaborating with faculty to understand course materials and deliver tailored tutorial sessions that enhance students' understanding of complex concepts.*Managing and tracking attendance through university systems to ensure compliance with departmental guidelines.*Upholding the high standards of academic integrity and excellence that BRAC University embodies.As I take on this role, I am determined not to let this work interfere with my own studies and to maintain a balance that supports my academic goals while contributing positively to the educational experience of my peers.

As the FYAT Mentor at BRAC University, I play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting first-year students. This position allows me to directly impact student success and retention. My main focus is to ensure that new students are well-integrated into our university community and have all the support they need to thrive.Key Responsibilities:- I facilitate the orientation of first-year students, helping them acclimatize to university life.- I provide academic advising, assisting with course selection and understanding program requirements.- As a mentor, I address student concerns and assist them in navigating both academic and personal challenges.- I guide students to essential campus resources and services.- I monitor academic progress and intervene when necessary to provide support.- Organizing and facilitating workshops and events is a significant part of my role, aimed at developing skills and building community.- I act as a liaison between students, faculty, and administrative staff.- I collect feedback to continuously improve the FYAT program and the overall student experience.

I had the privilege of serving as an educator during the second phase of the Srijon project, a commendable civic engagement initiative launched by the School of General Education (GenEd) at BRAC University. This endeavor, which sought to cultivate community involvement and drive positive change, unfolded during the autumn of 2022 and was conducted in close collaboration with the esteemed Brac Education Programme (BEP). BEP's substantial involvement in crafting project modules and delivering insightful training sessions was pivotal to our shared success.My involvement in Srijon presented a unique opportunity to contribute 30 hours of voluntary service towards a noble cause. It provided an invaluable hands-on experience in engaging with communities in need, and the satisfaction derived from making a meaningful impact on collective growth and positive transformation was immeasurable.What truly distinguishes the Srijon project is its unwavering commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, notably encompassing Goal 1 (Eradication of Poverty), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 5 (Gender Equality). Beyond these pivotal objectives, the project extends its influence towards the broader aspirations encapsulated within Goals 16 (Promotion of Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and 17 (Fostering Partnerships for Sustainable Development). This multifaceted alignment underscores the project's dedication to tackling pressing global challenges and catalyzing constructive change across various facets of our society.Engaging in the Srijon project has been a profoundly enriching experience, an opportunity to impart knowledge and influence positive change. It serves as a reminder of the enduring impact that community engagement and collaborative efforts can have on our world.
