Research Assistant at the Global Health Implementation Research Lab (GHIRL): a research group within NYU College of Global Public Health and Queens University, Department of Medicine, focusing on global health challenges including non-communicable disease prevention, maternal health, acute and chronic kidney diseases, sickle cell disease and a number of other public health challenges within low-and-middle-income countries.Objective: find effective, evidence-based practices that can be implemented into health systems and health policy programs and /or practices all while partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders including community members, researchers, and, policymakers to help improve the health of people globally.Duties include:•Assist with various projects in several LMIC (eg. Tanzania)•Perform qualitative analysis via interview coding on cervical cancer program interventions throughout medical facilities in Tanzania•Evaluate the effectiveness of certain implementation strategies, and using this information to develop more sustainable projects•Develop the current narrative of cervical cancer trends and implementation efficacy in Tanzania into a paper •Systematic review

Mission of Rutgers CINJ: Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey’s team of internationally recognized physicians and researchers is driven by a singular focus and mission, to help individuals fight cancer. Additionally, RCINJ aims to further propel scientific discovery as well as augment and expand comprehensive cancer services for patients through collaborative efforts.Primarily, my duties at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey include the assessment, development, and evaluation of educational tools for CINJ and ScreenNJ community outreach events; to disseminate information on prevention strategies and screening benefits of both Lung and Colorectal Cancer at statewide health fairs. •Created educational program for Lung Cancer Screening as part of a statewide collaborative project, ScreenNJ•Disseminate evidence-based health and cancer prevention strategies at major health events/fairs throughout NJ•Design and organize distributable materials such as flyers, and postcards that advertise ScreenNJ objectives •Coordinate interactive activities to engage audience at public events (exercise ball, jeopardy, lung simulation)
