During my tenure, St. Michael’s parish experienced a rebirth in its ministry, membership and stewardship. The Parish had been in a process of steady decline for a number of years. Congregational redevelopment and a positive growth upswing were initiated by a user-friendly liturgy, upbeat educational programs, pastoral care and community events.

Taught, developed and implemented an interactive Old Testament and New Testament curriculum for 9th and 11th graders to deepen theological understandings and lead teens toward a personal, committed relationship with Christ. Daily devotions, weekly services and special events were held, including a popular school-wide Jesus Ball Tournament.

When I arrived to serve at Trinity, the congregation was in a state of intense decline. After an initial season of building and solidifying relationships with parishioners, Trinity transitioned into a healthy parish refocused in their mission to know Christ and make Him known. As a result, Trinity became the third fastest growing parish in the Diocese of Eastern Michigan.
